PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safe and excellent ant repelling structure and method for wooden buildings, the structure being applicable to both new wooden buildings under construction and existing ones, and the structure construction or replacement being easy, including carpenter's accurate line inking. SOLUTION: The ant repelling structure for protecting wooden buildings from ants comprises ant repelling sheets fixed along vertical foundations made of a non-wood material formed below the wooden foundation of a wooden building. The sheets are fixed separated from both the vertical foundations and the ground. The ant repelling sheets 41 are fixed to the vertical foundations at its base end so that its leading end may be located high and the leading end side is folded back downward.
