PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device in which fixation of a lead wire led out of a housing is facilitated. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device 1 is equipped with a liquid crystal display panel and a lighting unit 10, wherein the lighting unit 10 is equipped with: a housing 11 which has a rectangular bottom wall surface and also has, at the side peripheral part thereof, louvered pieces 14<SB>1</SB>and 14<SB>2</SB>formed by cutting and protruding portions of the bottom wall surface to the back; and a frame-shaped intermediate frame 20 which houses and fixes a lighting member in the housing 11 and has a display window 20<SB>0</SB>at the center part, and the intermediate frame 20 is provided with lock pieces 23<SB>1</SB>to be inserted into opening parts 14<SB>0</SB>formed when the louvered pieces are louvered at places corresponding to the louvered pieces 14<SB>1</SB>and 14<SB>2</SB>, so that gaps formed between the louvered pieces 14<SB>1</SB>and 14<SB>2</SB>and lock pieces 231 when the intermediate frame 20 is fixed to the housing 11 serve as lead wire fixation parts for clamping and fixing the lead wire 4 led out of the lighting member.
