PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a panty-type wearing article permitting saving the quantity of use of sheet materials. SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing the panty-type wearing article 13 with an absorbent body 8 between leg holes 9 comprises a process of forming a first elastic sheet 6 by pasting a first outer sheet 1 and a first inner sheet 3 to each other and adding an extended elastic member 5 in the longitudinal direction A of the outer sheet, a process of forming a second elastic sheet 7 by pasting a second outer sheet 2 and a second inner sheet 4 to each other and adding the extended elastic member 5 in the longitudinal direction A of the outer sheet, a process of adhering an absorbent body 8 across both elastic sheets 6 and 7 with the first elastic sheet 6 and the second elastic sheet 7 extended in the longitudinal direction A of the outer sheet and separated from each other in the cross direction S of the outer sheet, and a process of forming the leg holes 9 between both elastic sheets 6 and 7.
