PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the illegal execution of processing against the stoppage of power supply by realizing a backup function with a simple hardware structure. SOLUTION: When a monitoring voltage falls down to a specified level, a power source monitoring circuit outputs a power source shutdown signal. Upon receiving the power source shutdown signal, the CPU for put-out control outputs a power source shutdown confirmation signal, and thereafter, when a standby time passes, it executes the processing to counter the stoppage of the power source. When the power source shutdown confirmation signal is turned on and if a first and a second connection confirmation signals keep on while no poor connection of the connectors occurs, the power source shutdown processing execution signal to be inputted into the CPU of a main board is turned on. Upon confirming that the power source shutdown processing execution signal is turned on, the CPU of the main board executes the processing to counter the stoppage of the power supply. This can realize the backup function with a simple hardware structure while preventing the illegal execution of the processing against the stoppage of the power source. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
