In an operation supporting device and method, a three-dimensional model of a region to be operated is created based on highly fine laminograms of the region taken before an operation, the surface of the region is optically measured in the operation, and a first positional information representing the three-dimensional position of each place on the surface of the region is obtained. Then, a non-exposed portion of the region to be operated is measured by an ultrasonic wave to obtain a second information representing the three-dimensional position of each place of the non-exposed portion of the region. Further, based on the first positional information and the second positional information, displacement and deformation of the each place of the region to be operated are estimated using the created three-dimensional model. Then, according to the estimated displacement and deformation of the each place of the region, the highly fine laminograms of the region taken before the operation are corrected, and the corrected laminograms are displayed.
