<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a glass run capable of realizing rapid enhancement of workability at mounting work of the glass run. <P>SOLUTION: The glass run 1 is mounted to a sash of a vehicle door and is constituted from an extrusion molding part 2 or the like and a mold molding part 5 or the like. The respective molding parts 2 or the like are provided with a body part 13 comprising a base bottom part 10 and side wall parts 11, 12; seal lips 14, 15 for sealing between a door glass and it; and an extension part 16 extensible in the outside/inside direction of the vehicle on the base bottom part 10. At manufacturing of the glass run 1, the extrusion molding part 2 or the like in the state that the extension part 16 firstly maintains the contraction state is molded and it is cut to predetermined length. A joint part is separated at an end of the extrusion molding part 2 or the like to enable the extension part 16 to be extended. The end of the extrusion molding part 2 or the like is set in a metal mold device and the mold molding part 5 or the like is connection-molded. Thereby, the glass run 1 comprising the extrusion molding part 2 or the like in which the extension part is in the contraction state 1 and the mold molding part 5 or the like in which the extension part 16 is in the extension state is obtained. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
