<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of solution for efficiently and safely processing media contents provided to a transport stream. <P>SOLUTION: A transport stream is encrypted by a method of processing (for example, demultiplexing and indexing) the stream without requiring the decryption of an encrypted part of the stream.
