<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly functional electric assist oil pump unit for a transmission, capable of reducing a load of an on-vehicle battery and also contributing to improvement of fuel economy of a vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: The assist oil pump unit 60 comprising a reversible rotating type pump 61 rotatable in both directions and a rotary electric machine 62 enabling electrically driven operation/power generating operation and having an energy regeneration means 64 for regenerating electricity generated in the rotary electric machine 62 is arranged on an oil passage supplying working fluid to the transmission, in parallel with a mechanical-type main oil pump 40 driven by an engine 10. Due to this constitution, at the time of normal running (a), surplus working fluid generating from the main oil pump 40 reversely rotates the assist oil pump 61 and makes the rotary electric machine 62 perform power generating operation. Obtained electricity is stored in a storage means 65 via the regeneration means 64. Therefore, while having the same hydraulic pressure maintaining function as that of conventional products, this pump unit 60 reduces the load of the on-vehicle battery and contributes to improvement of fuel economy of the vehicle. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
