<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wind power generator which provides a higher wind power generating efficiency even if larger-sized. <P>SOLUTION: The wind power generator 10 comprises a hub 14 which is mounted to a rotary shaft 13 and four or more vanes 15 which are mounted in the peripheral section 14a of the hub 14 at a given interval, the hub 14 being characterized in that the vertical length of the rotary shaft 13 is longer than the axial length of the rotary shaft 13. This structure makes the surface area of the peripheral section 14a larger relative to the length of the hub 14 in the axial direction of the rotary shaft 13. Therefore, the amount of wind that passes between vanes 15 and acts on the vane 15 is increased even if the vanes 15 are larger-sized as the wind power generator 10 is larger-sized because a space sufficient to allow wind to pass between adjacent vanes 15 can be assured even if four or more vanes 15 is mounted in the peripheral section 14a at a given interval. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
