<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an epoxy resin which has excellent electrolytic property, heat resistance and mechanical strength and is capable of controlling the weight loss occurring in an acid treatment process of an electrolyte or cleaning process of an electrolytic membrane to the minimum. <P>SOLUTION: The process is to manufacture an amine-curing resin having a sulfonic acid group and comprises (a) a step to generate amide ions by bringing an anionizing agent to react with an amine compound having ≥2 active hydrogens derived from the amino groups in the molecule in an amount of 0.1-0.9 equivalent of the agent to 1 equivalent of the active hydrogen, (b) a step to obtain an amine compound having a sulfonic acid salt by bringing a cyclic sultone equivalent to the amount of the anionizing agent to react with the amide ions and (c) a step to react the amino groups with the epoxy groups by making an epoxy compound having ≥2 epoxy groups in the molecule act on the amino group-derived active hydrogens remaining in the amine compound having the sulfonic acid salt in the equivalent amount. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
