<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new electrolyte additive improving instability in overcharge of a lithium battery. <P>SOLUTION: In the electrolyte for the lithium battery using a lithium salt electrolyte and a nonaqueous organic solvent, the safety of the lithium battery is enhanced, by including an additive containing at least one kind of compound selected from the group comprising compounds represented by formulas (I)-(III) (in the formulas, X represents a halogen, H, a 1-6C alkyl group, or a 6-8C aryl group, and R represents a 1-6C alkyl group or a 6-10C aryl group), and thereby, the safety of the lithium battery is enhanced. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
