<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymer electrolyte secondary battery high in output. <P>SOLUTION: The polymer electrolyte secondary battery comprises a cathode containing a cathode activator releasing and storing a cation, an anode containing an anode activator releasing and storing the cation released from the cathode, and an electrolyte layer interposed between the cathode and the anode composed of an ion conductive polymer which makes the cation move, and the cathode or the anode contains a boron-containing organic compound as a binder.
