<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a honeycomb member with an outer diameter of≥150 mm, especially used as a ceramic honeycomb filter for collecting fine particles in an exhaust gas of a diesel engine, from being damaged due to shock and vibration during transportation. <P>SOLUTION: A packing body for the honeycomb member comprises an outer box and a holding member for holding the honeycomb member arranged in the outer box. In the packing body for the honeycomb member, the holding member has a recessed part with a shape approximately coinciding with the outer shape of the honeycomb member, and the honeycomb member has both end faces to be fitted in the recessed part and is arranged with the holding member in the outer box having a dimension approximately coinciding with the outer shape dimension of the holding member, and the heights of the holding member and the honeycomb member arranged approximately coincide with the depth of the outer box. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
