<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ignition coil for an internal combustion engine capable of preventing a connection failure between a connection pin and a high voltage terminal and capable of improving the yield of products. <P>SOLUTION: In this ignition coil 11 for an internal combustion engine, a coil-iron core assembly 12 consisting of a primary coil 14, a secondary coil 16 concentric with the primary coil 14, and an iron core 18 through both coils 14, 16 is received in an insulating case 22. The connection pin 17 connected to the high voltage end of the secondary coil 16 is brought in contact with the high voltage terminal 24 provided on the insulating case 22. The insulating case 22 is filled with an insulating resin 25, and the coil-iron core assembly 12 is fixed within the insulating case 22.
