<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an occupant protection device for a vehicle capable of operating a pre-tensioner at the more suitable timing in response to relationship of an own vehicle and the other vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: The occupant protection device comprises a collision foreseeing sensor 15 for foreseeing collision of the vehicle; an operation member 20 operated by the occupant determining that there is danger of the collision; the pre-tensioner devices 40L and 40R operated for removing sagging of a seat belt; and ECU 60 for outputting an operation signal to the pre-tensioner by a signal from the operation member or the collision foreseeing sensor. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
