PARTS INVENTORY MANAGEMENT APPARATUS AND METHOD, AND ITS PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a parts inventory management apparatus that allows recognizing whether or not parts are insufficient to ship products by a planned number of product shipping.

SOLUTION: The parts inventory management apparatus includes a product shipping number storage part for storing the planned number of products to be shipped each month; a parts framing number storage part for storing the planned framing number of parts, that is, the planned number by which the parts to be mounted on each product are delivered; a lead time storage part for storing the shortest lead time for the parts to be mounted on each product after delivery; a number-of-days-in-inventory determining part for calculating the number of days that the parts are in inventory in a particular month on the basis of the planned numbers of products to be shipped in the particular month and subsequent months and the planned framing numbers of parts up to the particular month, and for determining whether or not the calculated number of days that the parts are in inventory is shorter than the shortest lead time; and a warning part that warns in the particular month if the number of days that the parts are in inventory is determined to be shorter than the shortest lead time by the number-of-days-in-invenotry determining part.
