METHOD FOR CRYSTALLIZATION OF MOUTH PART OF CONTAINER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for crystallization of a mouth part of a preform having no possibility of lowering strength and beautiful appearance of a container and having excellent workability.

SOLUTION: The method for crystallization heat-crystallizes the mouth part of the preform of a polyester container wherein a body part to be processed into a container main body and the mouth part provided above the body part are equipped, and the mouth part has a projected part projected more outward than the upper end of the body part, while the preform is supported by a holder so as to store the body part and to expose the mouth part. The method for crystallization is characterized by that the mouth part is heat-crystallized by bringing the upper edge of the holder into contact with the preform and supporting it so that at least a part of the lower face of the projected part of the mouth part is exposed, and a gap larger than 0.5 mm is not formed between the lower face of the projected part and the upper edge of the holder.
