<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a switching element from being broken by detecting jumping by the rapid change of voltage across the switching element. <P>SOLUTION: An induction heating cooking device comprises an inverter circuit 4 including a heating coil 5, a resonance capacitor 6, and a switching element 7; a drive control means 8 for driving and controlling a switching element 7 in the inverter circuit 4; a voltage detection means 9 for detecting voltage across the switching element 7; an envelope detection means 10 for detecting the envelope of a high-frequency voltage detected by the voltage detection means 9; and a means 11 for detecting the amount of voltage change for detecting the amount of change in voltage detected by the envelope detection means 10. When the amount of change in the voltage across the switching element 7 is equal to or more than a prescribed value by the means 11 for detecting the amount of change in voltage, the drive of the switching element by the drive control means 8 is stopped for a prescribed amount of time, thus preventing the switching element 7 from being broken when the voltage across the switching element 7 jumps suddenly. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
