PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for an electro-optical device capable of forming a flat and thin film.

SOLUTION: This manufacturing method for the electro-optical device for forming a thin film in an application region of a substrate by an ink jet method comprises a first process for applying first liquid-like body in which a thin film forming material is melted or dispersed to the application region by the ink jet method, a second process for applying second liquid-like body on the first liquid-like body applied to the application region by the ink jet method and destroying a melted or dispersed condition of the thin film forming material in the first liquid-like body to precipitate the thin film forming material, and a third process for drying the precipitated thin film forming material.
