摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a damaged area automatic extraction system automatically extracting a damaged area by natural disaster or human disaster by use of image data imaged from an artificial satellite or the like. SOLUTION: This damaged area automatic extraction system automatically extracting the damaged area of the natural disaster or the human disaster from the imaged image data has: an image data reading means reading the image data; a damaged area candidate decision means deciding a damaged area candidate pixel by a luminance of a pixel constituting the read image data; an undamaged area candidate decision means setting a portion wherein the luminance of the pixel is discontinuous in the image data as an edge, and deciding an undamaged area candidate pixel by deciding the continuity and directionality of the edge; and a damaged area decision means deciding the damaged area by the image data, the damaged area candidate pixel and the undamaged area candidate pixel.
