PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for detecting passage of a sample liquid flowing in a channel without damaging a material included in the sample, a method for controlling the flow based thereon, and a device therefor accumulable in a fine domain. SOLUTION: In this passage detection method for detecting fluid passage in the channel, two or more kinds of fluids having interfaces mutually and having different electric resistances are allowed to flow in the channel, and the electric resistance of the fluids is measured at a detection part in the channel, and the change of the electric resistance is detected, to thereby detect fluid passage at the detection part.
