PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain enhanced getting in/out property and self-opening/closing operation of a vehicle body door by reducing the thickness and weight of the door. SOLUTION: An arm rest AR1 is arranged at a vehicle body pillar section 26, so as to face a vehicle body getting in/out section 24 with a front door FD mounted openable. This armrest AR1 is usually held in a use state, positioned on the side of a seat, extending to the vehicle body getting in/out section 24, and is constituted so as to be displaced in a stored state, retreated from the vehicle body getting in/out section 24 to avoid interference with getting in/out of the occupant. The armrest AR1; equipped with a body member 30 for receiving an elbow of the occupant and a revolving supporting part 40 capable of rotatably mounting the body member 30 onto a vehicle body pillar section 26; is displaced into the use state or the stored state by which the body member 30 revolves the revolving supporting parts 40 about the pivot point.
