When a mobile telephone (MT) is switched on, a display panel (DP) (1) shows a request to enter a personal identification number (PIN) by means of a keypad (2). When a correct PIN is entered, the MT switches to active and, after pressing a first key (3) to trigger an active mode, the DP shows a request for a second PIN via the keypad.
