The invention relates to a method and system of accreditation for a client (110, 111, 112) enabling access to a virtual network (162, 163) so that the client can accede to services provided by service providers (130, 131), wherein the compatibility of the client with a predetermined access control protocol is determined for access to the virtual network; if the client is not compatible with the predetermined access control protocol, authorization is issued for transfer of data between the client and at least one subscription system (140, 142) enabling the client to subscribe to at least one service provider and if the client subscribes to at least one service provider, an accreditation is transferred to the client enabling him/her to accede to the services of the service provider subscribed to by the client, in addition to information enabling compatibility between the client and the predetermined access control protocol.
