A fluid measuring system, fluid measuring method, and computer program capable of detecting a flow of a distant fluid to be measured and providing new applications in a practical level of a PIV system. The fluid measuring system has a long focus optical system (3) in a CCD camera (2) and image processing means (43) for comparing and analyzing images of particles imaged at two time instants. This enables a flow field of an inapproachable fluid to be measured can be analyzed. Further, when focus distance regulating means (41a) in which the long focus optical system (3) having an appropriate focus distance is selectable is installed, a flow field of a distant fluid to be measured can be accurately analyzed.
