<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correctly grasp the number of translation character and compute properly translation time and translation costs in translating draft data made of Japanese as a main language into a foreign language such as English. <P>SOLUTION: Text data are extracted by deleting format information in the draft data, and the number of translation character is computed by counting only Japanese character in the text data. The translation time and translation costs are computed based on this number of translation character and displayed together with the number of translation character. Thereby, the number of translation character for the draft data of the text format is computed after deletion of its ASCII character codes. As to the draft data of HTML language format schema and the draft data created with word-processing software etc., the number of translation character is computed after deletion of its format information and ASCII codes. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
