<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a commodity sales system which allows a desired commodity to be sold by photographing the commodity from an apparently ordinary commodity advertising printed matter and transmitting the photographic data. <P>SOLUTION: Not only a commodity image being an apparently ordinary full-color image, a commodity name, a price, dimensions, etc. but also a special code of an optical latent image which is almost invisible under visible rays and can be recognized as an image by photographing is printed in each of image sections 18 where advertised commodities are put, of a printer matter for commodity sales like a catalog or a flier. When the image section 18 of a desired commodity is photographed by a digital camera, the special code is recognized as an image and visibly displayed on a display screen and is stored in a memory. The special code is a bar code, a QR code, or the like and includes information such as a URL of a sales company, an advertisement name, an advertisement date, and a commodity code.
