<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily perform exchange of a bulb and cleaning of an umbrella with an easy position by supplying an elevating device which can be easily attached to the present lighting fixture etc. for lowering a lighting fixture etc. to an arbitrary height. <P>SOLUTION: The elevating device such as the lighting fixture wherein a cloth insulated cord 11 for hanging the lighting fixture is wound around a take up reel located outside of reels 8, 9 wound with a plate spring 10 using a low torque type spring in a nearly S shape so that the cord shall be drawn out is attached between the present lighting fixture 14 etc. and a ceiling surface 1.
