<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a contact tip for thermal spraying which has an excellent current carrying property, feedability and durability of a thermal spraying wire rod in thermal spraying using a thermal spraying wire rod including a hard wire rod to a soft wire rod, is capable of achieving long-term continuous operation of thermal spraying equipment and an improvement in the quality of a thermal spraying film and can be easily produced at a low cost. <P>SOLUTION: The contact tip for thermal spraying has a thermal spraying wire rod insertion hole in an axial core section, is formed with a longitudinal slit extending along the thermal spraying wire rod insertion hole from a front end section and is then pressurized and worked with the front end section in a reducing diameter direction.
