<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stent mechanical characteristic measuring instrument which simply measures the flexibility of a stent, its rigidity in a radial direction and the mechanical characteristic of its end parts and evaluate its performance rationally. <P>SOLUTION: The instrument comprises: a first support part 3 for fixing one end of the stent; a second support part 4 for fixing the other end of the stent; a moving part 5 which is connected with the first support part 3 and moves in the direction of a straight line connecting the first support part 3 and the second support part 4; and a load sensor 8 connected with the second support part 4 for measuring a load imposed on the second support part 4. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
