LASER BEAM MACHINING HEAD AND LASER BEAM MACHINING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser beam machining head with which spatters or the like are efficiently removed even when they have such comparatively large kinetic energy that cannot be blown off only by the function of conventional air shutters.

SOLUTION: The spatters S or the like which are caused accompanying laser beam welding are removed with a propeller fan 9 which is rotationally driven with a motor 8. The irradiation timing of a laser beam La and the rotational phase of the propeller fan 9 are synchronously controlled with a controller 10 and the propeller fan 9 does not interfere with the laser beam La even when the fan 9 crosses the laser optical path.
