<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a terminal device allowing easier input of information for specifying a user, and a communication device transmitting a list of the user in response to a request to realize such a function of the terminal device. <P>SOLUTION: The terminal device 1 transmits the user list request to the communication device 2. When the communication device 2 receives the user list request, the communication device 2 reads a user registration list 24 stored in a storage part 23, extracts information related to the user, and returns it to the terminal device 1 as the list. The terminal device 1 stores the list of the information related to the user into a storage part 13 as the user list 14. When inputting the information for specifying the user included in time of an image forming request, the user list 14 is read, and the user is list-displayed on an operation part 15.
