PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrogen storage tank for increasing hydrogen storing quantity per unit weight or unit volume.

SOLUTION: The hydrogen storing tank is equipped with a solid hydrogen storage body 2 including a hydrogen occlusion material of which function to occlude or release is activated at a temperature equal to or higher than 80°C and a catalysis for promoting hydrogen occlusion and release of the hydrogen occlusion material, a container 3 for encapsulating the hydrogen storage body, flow passage forming members 7, 4 for communicating with outside and forming a flow passage of hydrogen gas in the container and a heating means 6 for heating the hydrogen storage body to a temperature equal to or higher than 80°C.
