<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method for processing volatile organic compounds that can efficiently process the volatile organic compounds with less energy, even at starting of the apparatus or even when temperature of a gas to be processed is low or concentration of the volatile organic compounds is very low. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus for processing volatile organic compounds comprises a reaction vessel 1 having at least one gas inlet 2a and a gas outlet 2b, a porous material 4 of high thermal conductivity installed in the reaction vessel 1 to carry adsorbent particles 7 and catalyst particles 8, a gas channel 3 formed in the reaction vessel 1, and a heating means 5 for the porous material 4 of high thermal conductivity. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
