<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cogeneration system capable of contributing to the reduction of a power demand in a time zone of peak power consumption while feeding a required prediction thermal load. <P>SOLUTION: The cogeneration system comprises a power supply section DG equipped with a cogeneration unit 3 generating both electric power and heat and linked with a commercial power system 9, a tank 4 for collecting heat generated from the cogeneration unit 3 and storing it in the form of hot water, and a means for controlling the operation of the cogeneration unit 3 based on the prediction thermal load. The control means is arranged to perform peak cut operation for controlling the operation of the cogeneration unit 3 in a state that the time zone for operating the cogeneration unit 3 in order to feed the prediction thermal load is matched to the time zone of a peak power demand in a commercial power system. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
