<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for efficiently and effectively performing a search for a therapeutic method for arteriosclerosis by using a mouse. <P>SOLUTION: A method is to determine and screen therapeutic effects on the arteriosclerosis and metabolic syndrome with a factor derived from a fat tissue. The method comprising (A) a step of providing an arteriosclerosis developing type double knockout mouse obtained by mating an adiponectin knockout mouse with an apoE knockout mouse and (B) a step of determining the therapeutic effects on the mouse with a drug, food ingredients, or the like, is provided.
