PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device which can obtain a voice having good sound collecting characteristics of a direction directed toward an imaging unit including a vertical direction even if microphones are not installed in both sides of a device body. SOLUTION: A digital camera 110 has the device body 11 and the imaging unit 12. The imaging unit 12 has an imaging lens 14 and is provided rotatably at the device body 11. In the digital camera 110, a stereo microphone 25 is provided at the front surface side of the device body 11, and a monophonic microphone 26 is provided at the imaging lens installing surface side of the imaging unit 12. And, the rotating position of the imaging unit 12 is detected, thereby controlling the voice input of the stereo microphone 25 and the monophonic microphone 26 based on its rotating position. Thus, the voice having good sound collecting characteristics of the direction directed toward the imaging unit including the vertical direction can be obtained even if the microphones are not installed in both sides of the device body.
