PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile communication terminal capable of realizing an optimum antenna efficiency and an optimum directivity characteristic even in the case of an operating state of the mobile communication terminal such as creation of electronic mail, transmission / reception of electronic mail, and video phone as well as in the case of the operating state of the mobile communication terminal such as an ordinary voice "speech". SOLUTION: An antenna current distribution control section 54 and a housing current distribution control section 55 can revise the directivity characteristic of the antenna 52. An operating state discrimination section 65 analyzes an output signal from a camera section 65 to estimate a distance between the terminal 1 and a head of a human body and revises the directivity characteristic of the antenna 52 into the directivity characteristic less affecting the human body (the directivity characteristic less affecting the antenna efficiency by the human body) when the distance between the terminal 1 and the head of the human body is small.
