PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily produce a desirable sheet metal welded structure for welding by using sheet metal of light weight and high strength, such as titanium or titanium alloy, or aluminum or aluminum alloy. SOLUTION: In the sheet metal welded structure which is produced by butt-joining multiple sheet metals having excellent tensile strength and is provide with vertical ribs for holding the strength in a right angle direction to the sheet metal, a butting plate for joining both edge parts of the sheet metals by butt-welding, is used, and firstly, the welding is performed from the inside butting plate edge parts by butting at the joined sheet metal, and thereafter, the butt-welding is performed by welding the butting portion from the outside. Then, the sheet metal welded structure is produced by performing the butt-welding with the butting plate with the reinforcing vertical ribs butt-welded at the right angle to the butting plate.
