PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charger capable of performing appropriate charging control on the basis of the temperature of a battery cell while decreasing the number of temperature sensors. SOLUTION: A plurality of battery cells 20 are arranged in matrix in a battery pack 2. A temperature sensor 22 comprising a thermistor is provided in each predetermined space 21 formed by the plurality of battery cells 20. Temperature is detected in units of block where the centers of the battery cells 20 are arranged square on a plane parallel with a cutting plane perpendicular to the axial direction of the battery cell 20.
