PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain toner which has high coloring power, excellent transparency, chroma, color reproducibility, charging stability and light resistance and with which a high-quality full-color image can stably be formed with excellent sharpness and no deterioration in the picture quality even for long-term storage in a small amount of the toner. SOLUTION: In the manufacture of the toner containing toner particles containing at least a colorant and a binder resin, a pigment and color particles comprising crosslinked resin particles colored with an oil color are used as the colorant. The pigment content is 3-8 wt.% of the entire amount of the toner particles, and the content of the color particles is 6-15 wt.% of the entire amount of the toner particles. Thereby, the oil color can be added to the toner to improve the transparency without decreasing the charging stability, which results in the toner excellent in all of coloring power, transparency, charging stability, light resistance and fixing property as well as in chroma and color reproducibility.
