摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus 1 capable of measuring a flash point of a sample 2 having a low flash point without producing dew condensation. SOLUTION: In this flash point measuring apparatus 1 of the present invention, a sample holder 3 and an ignition source 5 are accommodated in a chamber 6 of which the inside is maintained at dry atmosphere, and the temperature of the sample 2 held by the sample holder 3 can be fallen. The ignition source 5 is preferably a heating wire. The inside of the chamber 6 is constituted so that the ratio of concentration of combustion aid gas and inactive gas can be arbitrarily adjusted. A heat carrier 41 is cooled by a cooler 7 while maintaining the inside of the chamber 6 at the dry atmosphere, and the temperature of the sample 2 is fallen to a temperature lower than the flash point. Then, an operation for increasing the temperature of the sample 2 by a heat carrier 41 and an operation for bringing the ignition source 5 close to the sample 2 to determine the presence or absence of the inflammation of the sample 2 are alternately repeated to measure the temperature when the sample 2 is inflamed as the flash point.
