PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spray type hot-cold water mixing faucet having a compact shower head with an external shape corresponding to a cylindrical holder. SOLUTION: This hot-cold water mixing faucet has a faucet body 2 for supplying hot-cold mixed water to a supply pipe 2a by properly mixing hot water and water respectively flowing in from a hot water supply pipe H and a water supply pipe C, the shower head 3 for discharging water by switching a water discharge state of the hot-cold mixed water and water supplied from this faucet body 2, a flexible pipe 4 for connecting the upstream side of this shower head 3 and the downstream side of the supply pipe 2a, and the cylindrical holder 5 arranged in the faucet body so as to extractably support the shower head 3. This cylindrical holder 5 has at least a part of an outer peripheral surface of the shower head 3 having a tapered external shape gently divergent toward the downstream side by setting an outer diameter (r) of the upstream end of the shower head 3 in the substantially same as an outer diameter R of the cylindrical holder 5, in the hot-cold water mixing faucet 1 for arranging an opening 6 of a tip part 8 toward the lower side.
