METHOD FOR PRODUCING LEATHERY SHEET-LIKE PRODUCT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a leathery sheet-like product high in peel strength while improving its abrasion resistance and good in texture such as flexibility or bendability as well. SOLUTION: The method for producing the leathery sheet-like product comprises the following process: Either one surface of a fibrous base is coated in advance with an aqueous polymeric elastomer-based treatment liquid 20-60 wt.% in solid concentration to penetrate the aqueous polymeric elastomer so as to be 15-50μm in depth from the surface followed by drying and then an elastomeric film is made to adhere via an aqueous adhesive to the thus coated surface. Further, it is preferable that the solid pickup of the aqueous polymeric elastomer on the fibrous base after drying be 15-60 g/m2and the treatment liquid contain a silicone compound at 0.5-8 wt.% based on the solids of the aqueous polymeric elastomer.
