PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk of a toroidal type nonstage transmission and its manufacturing method, which can improve speed changing performance by machining an integral type disk having traction surfaces on both faces so as to improve the co-axial precision between both traction surfaces and the co-axial precision between the traction surfaces and an inside peripheral surface irrespective of the shape of an outside peripheral surface. SOLUTION: Both traction surfaces 17a, 17b are machined by fixing the inside peripheral surface 17f of an output disk 17 on a mandrel 40, and by utilizing the mandrel 40 as a rotation datum without unchucking the mandrel 40 in the machining process. In addition, the inside peripheral surface 17f is machined by utilizing the traction surfaces 17a, 17b as rotation datums by positioning the traction surfaces 17a, 17b in the radial direction on a fixed supporting stand 51, and further by slidingly turning them on the supporting stand 51.
