Oral gel delivery systems for antacids are provided comprising an ingestible matrix within which one or more antacid is substancially uniformaly and completely dispersed. The delivery systems may optionally include one or more other functional ingredients, for example, functional ingredients that complement or enhance the function of antacids within the body.
