A closable, water-soluble or water-dispersible bag, comprises a front portion and a back portion, both being of flexible plastic film, which front and back portions are, directly or indirectly, liquid-tight sealed in register about one end and about adjacent lengths of both portions of their periphery to define an opening. In one embodiment as shown the front portion, over at least a minor proportion of its length, is turned back upon itself and sealed in register along its peripheral lengths 4,4' to itself to form a pouch and the bag is closable by folding the unsealed length 6 of the back portion over the pouch and manipulating the pouch and the unsealed length of the back portion together to turn them inside out thereby closing the bag. In another embodiment (Figure 3) the back portion extends as a flap (14) and at least one of the front and back portions includes adhesive means (16, 16') and the bag is closable by folding the flap over the front portion so that the adhesive means is contacted with the other portion thereby closing the bag.
