The blade fixing device (10) is for a blade which is directed radially and rotates round an axis. The blade foot (12) is held back on the blade holder (14) against the forces acting on the blade. There is a contact region (18) between the foot and the holder, which has a clearance when the blade is stationary. Due to the small displacement of the blade relative to the blade holder during the operation of the compressor the forces acting on it reduce or eliminate the clearance.
