<p>An automatic cleaning system for a lines of cow stalls attached to an automatic milking system has the cowshed is divided into separate sections, each with a line of stalls (12) on one side of an access gangway (20) and with a line of feeding stations (22) on the other side of the gangway. The stalls allow the cows to lie and chew the cud before returning to the field. Before the cows return to the stalls each section is cleaned by an automatic system with rotating rushes which reach into each stall and transfer the muck to a muck scraper. The stalls are supplied with fresh litter after cleaning. The cows move into the stall via a collecting yard (50) and automatic milking station (60) and access gangways (64).</p> |
