Considering the real world from which data has been acquired, it is possible to obtain a processing result of an event of the real world with a high accuracy. A data constancy detection section (101) detects constancy of data corresponding to a constancy of the image of a lacking real world of the second-dimension input image to which an image of real world having a first dimension is projected and which is smaller than the first dimension where a part of the constancy of the real world image lacks. According to the constancy of the data detected by the data constancy detection section (101), a real world estimation section (102) estimates the constancy of the lacking real world image, thereby estimating the real world image. The present invention can be applied to an image processing device for outputting an output image of a higher resolution than the input image.
